Working on getting some homemade items onto my Blog. Please be patient as I get it put together. I have not yet figured out how to put words up in my banner. If anyone knows how, leave me a comment.

This is a pic of Emerson sleeping on her blessing day. She was a tired girl. This was the first blessing blanket I've ever made. It turned out really nice.

Our granddaughter, Emerson, was born recently. I made her this fun and bright- colored receiving blanket and then the pastel pink crib quilt. It's been a busy year sewing projects for 4 new grandchildren. It's been alot of fun.

This is Jade's nursery. Angie told me what she wanted and so I made the curtains, crib set, and pillows. Love the pink!

My granddaughter, Jade was born this year, 2011. I made a matching quilt and carseat cover for her. Angie (her mommy) loves animal print.

Jocelyn crib set

Quilt and crib set--made for granddaughter, Jocelyn who was born in 2010.

Curtains for Dax's room.

Daxton's wall hanging.

I made this crib set
for grandson, Daxton who was born in 2011.

I made this baby quilt/wall hanging for grandson, Boston, in 2009 when he was born.

I just completed this puzzle by myself. It was a little difficult, but I enjoyed it still!

Jocelyn

Wow! Time flies. I haven't done too well lately with my blog. Our most recent addition to our family, Jocelyn Michelle. Parents are Kendall and Haylee. We are so proud and happy for them. She is sweet, cute, pretty, good-natured; shall I go on?!

Two more quilt blocks

These are the other two blocks I designed for the quilt for the reunion. One depicts the house I grew up in and the other depicts a wishing well that was in the yard growing up (it's still there). Our house was green growing up; now it's beige.

Picket Fence Quilt Block

My mom called and asked me to make a quilt for our family reunion auction in August. She acquired five quilt blocks and some fabric from a friend of hers who is moving. So I told her I would do it. She mailed me the blocks and the coordinating fabric. I've been working on this project and have 17 blocks made. Last night, I decided I should create three blocks of my own. Since the reunion is going to be where I grew up, I started thinking about ideas I could do for blocks. We grew up with a white picket fence around the yard. Some of the flowers in the yard were purple Irises. So, I came up with the first block of my own. Now, I don't recall "red" birds in our yard, but the color was good for the block. So.....here's my 1st design. This makes block #18.

Easter

We are looking forward to a fun Easter again this year. Most of our little family will be here for our annual Easter Egg Hunt and egg dying, and all the fun games, swimming, GREAT food, etc. It may be muddy outside, but that doesn't stop us......ALTHOUGH---muddy shoes WILL be left out in the garage! Can't wait to see ya, kids!

Tending Boston

So, I've been in Caldwell since Saturday, Feb. 27. I came over to tend Boston for Chad and Angie. He is a doll.....such a good-natured boy. It's been fun getting to know him. I'll be here till Saturday, March 13 and then head home. Just helpin' out while Angie has started teaching spring semester and Chad finishing up POST (this coming week is his last). Then graduation for him and then on-the-job training and then officially a police officer.

Poor Kirk is very lonely. Hope he gets alot more overtime while I'm gone ($$$$)! We have webcam, so it's nice to SEE AND talk to him.

So.... I had a great massage this a.m. (thanks to Chad and Ang)! Then Angie took me to get that turquoise purse that I just had to have. It is really pretty and I've been wanting one and have been looking and found THE ONE! I have a thing for purses and having an assortment of colors is quite fun. You might say "I collect them" (but I definitely use them). TTFN

CAPE COD continued.......

Our lodging and car rental are booked!!! Now we are searching for great airfare tickets. Right now the best is $780 for the two of us thru Jet Blue. I think we can do better.

Whale watching is going to be great. We'll probably go out a couple of times!

The downside; we wanted to see the Boston Red Sox play, but they are on the road the whole time we are there.
